Mission Statement

Not every business can afford a full-time safety representative and yet when a company is asked to state who in their organization oversees safety of the company and their employees someone must wear that hat. As a business owner you don’t have to overload or overwhelm yourself or your employees, HCSI is here when you need us in short notice situation or a long-haul project.

Professional Safety Management

Our experience includes refinery, ethanol, oilfield exploration, pipeline, automotive manufacturing, steel production / erecting, trucking, logistics, welding / fabrication, power distribution, chemical manufacturing, and paper mills.

Collectively, Dave & Brandi Hensley have 19 years of construction safety management experience working with Union and non-Union general and subcontractors in the automotive manufacturing industries, trucking & logistics, upstream, midstream & downstream oil and gas sector, ethanol, biodiesel, heavy towing & recovery, environmental remediation, with the following skill sets:
  • Conduct risk assessment to identify all hazards on the construction site and provide mitigation tactics eliminating these hazards.
  • Provide training of commissioning for utilities and equipment as well as safety oversite.
  • Conduct new hire orientation, refresh training, supervisor training on the job or in the class room.
  • Consult with the client, project management and working craft personnel regarding site specific safety concerns, addressing & correcting any concerns in the field, and keeping the project moving forward.
  • Conduct root cause analysis with reporting.
  • Manage workers compensation claims and injury management.
  • Manage the budget for project safety needs such as PPE, training, staffing etc.
  • Generate weekly, monthly, and yearly reporting for internal needs as well as for federal, state and local agencies.
  • Provide safety representation during project audits, federal / state OSHA visits, unforeseen incidents investigations.
  • Promote a positive safety culture with an increase to morale, thus finishing a project on time and strong.
  • Provide safety management and or coordinators to your existing project team to help with coverage.
  • Daily site safety audits with reporting.
